Sardine tin mosaics

These sardine tin mosaics were developed in lockdown when we were working from home and using materials we had to hand. The bird piece was based on a whole floor I created for a mini stately home. A friend said it reminded her of lying in the garden, looking up through the trees. I have run workshops online for people to learn how to make these.

Made to order.

Hamster

This is a portrait of my hamster Sammy. He was my pet when I was a child. I made him to sell but my daughter adopted him so he’s not going anywhere now.

Mussel shell

This piece was designed for a family garden, providing a sculpture that could be climbed on or added to a more formal planting area. I love the shape of the mussel shell and I created the pattern to imitate the growth lines on the shell. The colours were developed to suit the client’s taste.

Private commission 1.5m x 1m x 600mm.

Frost-proof porcelain with polyester core.

Private garden Sheffield.

£3,500
