This mosaic was created as part of commissioned work for a hairdresser in Sheffield. It was inspired by the clientele at “Hair by Christmas “ and Aubrey Beardsley.

This is a figure referencing suffragettes in Sheffield in the guise of a Greek mythological form. It celebrates the victory they had after the struggles.

Diana Storey has been a mosaic artist for 25 years . Mosaiking is a healing, joyful art form. Its process creates a beautiful piece from broken fragments.
Diana is based in Sheffield at Exchange Place Studios, Yorkshire Artspace and teaches classes at The Arthouse , Sheffield.
